Editorial policy
How we choose fonts and check what we publish.
How we recommend fonts
We prioritise fonts that are free with a clear open license (Google Fonts / SIL OFL), have a usable range of weights, and hold up in the role we’re recommending them for — body, headline, UI or logo. We link to the official source so you can check the license yourself.
Accuracy
We use real, correctly-named typefaces and avoid inventing statistics, download counts or history we can’t verify. Web-typography guidance follows current CSS practice and links to authoritative references such as MDN.
Writing and fact-checking
Articles are drafted with AI assistance and then edited and fact-checked by people before publishing — see the AI policy.
